The Coach House provides everything you need for a comfortable working day, while keeping the space calm and uncluttered. Facilities include:
Fast, reliable Wi-Fi
Clear desk and comfy chair
A kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery
A small, curtained-off meeting/break-out area with a table that seats up to 4
The space is designed to support focused work, with simple, thoughtful facilities that feel functional but not distracting. Members bring any additional equipment they need for their own work.description

Yes, you can rent more than one desk, subject to availability. Discounts are offered for multiple desks, please ask for details.

No, you don’t have to sign a lease.
We have a short desk license for full-time Members, which we will ask you to read and sign.
We ask that you initially sign a 1 month license. After the first month the license automatically goes to a rolling monthly contract.
The license states you must give 1 month’s notice, if you wish to vacate your desk.

No, The Coach House is an open plan studio space. There are 4 desks upstairs and 4 desks downstairs.
If you are a full-time Member, the desk is yours alone, so you can keep your own items and paperwork on your desk.
There is also a communal meeting/breakout area upstairs, so if you have clients/customers visiting you can sit around a table.

Part-time Members have access from 9am-5pm. A door key can be requested for a small security deposit.
Full-time Members have a full set of keys to access the building, and have access 24/7, so you can work evenings and weekends if you wish.

There is no dedicated parking, but there is FREE on street parking. The Coach House is on a residential street and there are no parking restrictions.

Yes, we welcome, quiet, well-behaved dogs. We have our resident pooch, Rufus the mini Schnauzer, who is very friendly and welcoming and might share his treats ;)

Visitors/clients are welcome, we have a meeting area for this purpose. However, to maintain the calm and focused environment for our Members, The Coach House is not suited to businesses with a high footfall or large volumes of visitors/clients.

Online meetings (Zoom, Teams, etc.) are part of modern business life. Members are welcome to take calls, but we ask that headphones are used to keep conversations private and maintain the focused atmosphere for everyone.

The building has a full alarm system and an internal, steel, roller shutter door that is used at night. The building is insured, but you will need to insure your own personal belongings that you have or leave at the premises.
If you are a full-time Member, we suggest you bring your own lockable cabinet if you have confidential information you need to keep secure.

A desk and chair is provided.
We also have some shelving available for fill-time desk Members. Some Members bring their own shelves/lockable filing cabinets/drawers, as there is some space around desks to accommodate these items.

The Coach House isn’t designed for ad-hoc or drop-in desk rentals. Our focus is on providing a consistent environment for members, which works best when desks are allocated to people who use the space regularly.
If you’d like to try the space, we offer a member trial — 5 days over a two-month period as a way to experience The Coach House before committing to a regular membership.

Penarth is a beautiful Victorian seaside town with a lot to offer, the town centre is a short walk away and offers independent shops, eateries and cafes.
Penarth Seafront and Pier with pavilion and lots of eateries and places to soak up the sun are worth a visit.
The Coach House is very close to Penarth Marina with an excellent cafe and bakery. And very locally there is a corner shop, chippy and nail bar.
